The knowledge spaces of East Asia are heterogeneous and multiple, partly "Eastern" and partly "Western." Perhaps the entanglement of knowledge institutions, representations, and possible realities is like the mixture in the body of biomedical anatomy and meridians with their context of yin-yang cosmology.
